NICHIREN SHU
 

The Nichiren Shu is a Buddhist Order founded by the religious prophet and reformer, Nichiren Shonin (1222-1282). He espoused the doctrine that the Lotus Sutra (Saddharma Pundarika Sutra) represents the embodiment of the genuine teachings of Sakyarnuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, the Saviour of this world.

Our belief in this doctrine is affirmed by our chanting of the O'Daimoku (Sacred Title) “Namu Myoho Renge Kyo,” that is, “Moration to the Scripture of the Lotus of the Perfect Truth.’

We believe that Nichiren Shonin was the messenger of the Buddha who has guided us in cultivating our Buddha-nature, a quality inherent in all beings, and establishing a way of life consonant with the eternal truths preached by the Buddha.

We vow to the Buddha and Nichiren Shonin that we will strive to engender peace within ourselves and throughout the world by disseminating the teaching expounded in the Lotus Sutra.Nichiren Shu Malaysia

Nichiren Shu Malaysia was established in the year 2002. Our practise are based on Sakyamuni Buddha's teachings and Nichiren Shonin's guidance based on the Lotus Sutra. We currently have a temple in Penang and a Sangha in Klang. Everyone is welcome to join us in our daily practise and to share the Dharma Joy.

Since time immemorial,
all of the people on earth have been the Buddha Shakyamuni's beloved children.
We had not realized the relationship, because we had been undutiful children.
It is a unique relationship. As the moon reflects on calm water, the
Buddha appears in our calm mind.
